Summer days, drifting away...

Ahh... the end of the summer term. There's nothing quite like it for the feeling of anticipation before the seemingly endless summer holiday arrives and the blissful (relative) freedom from academic work. Oh yes, and the occasional realisation that results will be published next week... but that's a minor point! It's great to finally have the time to relax, read books, watch DVDs and hang out with friends without the 'guilt factor' of revising and deadlines. I fully intend to enjoy it while it lasts!

Having been at home last week, it's just great to meet up again with my "Reading-friends". Lunch in Cafe Mondial and playing pool yesterday with Dan and Anna, just chilling out, having a laugh and reflecting on the last year and what lies ahead. On my way home, stumbling upon a game of ultimate frisbee on the sports field that various St Pats residents, past and present (plus a few others!) were playing... good times. Including being rugby tackled to the floor by Andy and being hit in the head by a frisbee by Miri! (No sign of a bruise just yet... we shall see!) And of course, the day was rounded off by watching the highs and lows of the England match in Sherfield Hall JCR, with housemates Gemma and Jess amongst others. All in all, a fabulous summer day. Even if summer doesn't quite seem to want to properly come out and play just yet!

Tonight heralds the RUCU Summer Ball... which promises to be a great night of fun and frivolity. Photos to come tomorrow, I promise!
